MARIA NAFPLIOTOU, ARTISTE ET ÉGÉRIE Source d’inspiration inépuisable, la Grèce antique continue de açonner le visage contemporain d’Athènes. L’héritage est partout, dans un dialogue avec l’œuvre de Picasso au Musée d’art cycladique cet été, dans les créations en fligranes d’or de Zolotas, joaillier historique de la Grèce qui se nourrit d’avant-garde et de tradition… Pas un hasard si la maison trouve en la comédienne Maria Napliotou l’incarnation d’une éminité intemporelle. C’est au cœur des spectaculaires gradins du théâtre d’Hérode Atticus, au pied de l’Acropole, que nous avons organisé cette rencontre avec l’égérie, bercée depuis l’enance par les grandes fgures éminines de la mythologie ou des tragédies d’Euripide, et dont le jeu ut si poignant ces derniers mois dans son interprétation de Maria Callas, dans la pièce Master Class de Terrence McNally. « La Callas est un vrai personnage de tragédie grecque, ditelle. Vous n’avez aucun flet quand vous partez explorer chaque soir une telle noirceur et proondeur de l’âme. » Maria Napliotou n’en est pourtant pas à son premier rôle.
