ART À LA POINTE DE LA MODE Après ses escapades à Hong Kong, Tokyo et New York, la soucoupe de 720 m² de Zaha Hadid atterrit à Paris, au pied de l’Institut du Monde Arabe. Créé pour le « Mobile Art » de KarlLagerfeld, ce pavillon exposa en 2008 des œuvres de contemporains autour des sacs Chanel. En 2011, la maison Chanel fait don du pavillon futuriste à l’Institut. Les travaux de l’architecte anglo-irakienne y sont exposés jusqu’au 30 octobre. Par la suite, l’Institut prévoit des expositions en relation avec les pays arabes. Une union d’architecture, de mode et de culture. -/Peak of fashion After touring Hong Kong, Tokyo and New York, Zaha Hadid's 720m 2 UFO has landed in Paris, at the foot of the Institut du Monde Arabe. This Mobile Art pavilion was created for KarlLagerfeld in 2008, for a travelling exhibition of art works inspired by Chanel's quilted bags. Now Chanel have gifted the futuristic pavilion to the IMA. The Anglo-Iraqi architect's work is on show there until 30 October. The Institut then plans to use it for exhibitions in partnership with Arab countries. A union of architecture, fashion and culture. 84 AU BEAU MILIEU DES VIGNES Le domaine viticole du Château La Coste, situé au nord d’Aix-en-Provence, développe depuis 2004 un projet artistique. Après le chai dessiné par Jean Nouvel en 2008, le centre d’accueil réalisé par Tadao Ando reçoit ses visiteurs sur une immense esplanade d’eau et son architecture très linéaire, béton brut et verre. Un peu plus loin, une structure de Frank Gehry, nous interpelle, sculpture ou architecture ? Quel plaisir de déguster un vin de cuvée dans cet espace culturel et architectural. First came the Jean-Nouvel-designed wine store in 2008, then the visitor centre by Tadao Ando, with its huge sheet of water and linear architecture all in glass and raw concrete. A little further on a structure by Frank Gehry strikes the eye : is this sculpture or architecture ? It's sheer delight to taste a vin de cuvée in this paradise of culture and architecture. Cheers !
