Not too bad ? An award-winning leather craftsman to whom he showed his handiwork was astonished that a beginner could produce such high quality work. That clinched it : Pinel & Pinel was founded, with the mission of harnessing the French luxury tradition to servethe ultracontemporary. And so was born a first cheekily iconoclastic collection of smoking accessories. "No one had produced this kind of thing before : crocodile cases for cigars, cigarettes and minilighters, in pink, green, plum, pistachio, orange etc." In fact, 175 colours in all ! In Paris, Colette was won over. Then came Harrods in London, Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, and Joseph, creator of the eponymous brand, who at the sametime discovered Pinel's other projects. "I showed him a Jew sketches of trunks and he placed an order. That was how I was ableto launch the line, in 2004. Arcade PS is a gamer's toy-chest housing a PlayStation3 console and a 55-inch 3D screen.
