La Maison Blanche wakes Nice up !
Cette nouvelle étape niçoise, imaginée par Marie-Hélène Lalande et Jean-Charles Pastori, donne leton en matière de rendez-vous gastronomique et Jestif. Enfin ! -/ This new Nice hotspot, the brainchild of Marie-Hélène Lalande and Jean-Charles Pastori, raisesthe bar in the lively gastropub genre. At last !
Une carte voyageuse
La carte, élaborée par Bruno Sohn, ancien chef des cuisines du Palais de la Méditerranée à Nice, et exécutée par Dominique Nouvian, ex-Hussard à Nice et habitué du guide Michelin, offre un voyage entre Méditerranée et Asie avec la volonté de proposer des alliances métissées, justement équilibrées : tartare dethon Tokyo style, avocat épicé, mangue et algue wakamé ; filet d’agneau en croûte de parmigiano, caponata à l’orange, panisses ; burrata artisanale, tomates choisies et roquette du pays.
-/ Fusion food. The restaurant menu is devised by Bruno Sohn, ex-head chef of the Palais de la Méditerranée in Nice, and delivered by Dominique Nouvian, a Michelin guide regular previously at Le Hussard in Nice. It oscillates between Mediterranean and Asia by means
of nicely balanced, lightly exotic combinations such as Tokyo-styletuna tartare, spiced avocado, mango and wakamé seaweed, lamb fillet in a parmesan crust, caponata with orange and fried chick-pea cake, or handmade burrata cheese with local tomatoes and rocket.
Un espace contemporain chic
Installé en lieu et place d’une ancienne galerie d’art, l’établissement proposetrois espaces distincts : un restaurant au rezde-chaussée, un lounge bar au premier étage et, au dernier niveau, uneterrasse donnant sur le MAMAC. Le site met
à l’honneur les lignes contemporaines, tout en gardant un parti pris décoratif chaleureux et élégant : murs d’eau, lignestendues, bar lumineux, couleurs claires, cuir, bois, acier brossé, mobilier cosy… -/ Chic and modern. Installed in what used to be an art gallery, La Maison Blanche offers three different options : restaurant on the ground floor, lounge bar on the first floor and abovethat a terrace looking onto the MAMAC. The overall styling is distinctly contemporary and complemented by an invitingly elegant décor.
Un lounge bar arty et pétillant
Point d’orgue de la Maison Blanche, le lounge bar est non seulement lethéâtre de soirées musicales, soul jazz en version live ou pop electro distillée par DJ Anna Cruz en semaine, mais aussi d’expositions artistiques grâce à un partenariat avec la Villa Arson. Côté gourmandises, tapas, antipasti et cocktails sont au rendez-vous ! -/ Music and art. In the lounge bar there’s music in the evenings – live soul/jazz or on weekdays DJ Anna Cruz’s electro-pop – but also art exhibitions in partnership with Villa Arson, not to mention great cocktails plus tapas and antipasti to snack on !
