aren Poolak, blonde pimpante de 26 ans originaire d’Estonie, et Pierre Bauchet, étudiant en lettres modernes de 19 ans, se sont rencontrés à Nice par le biais d’une amie commune. Karen, styliste, cherchait quelqu’un pour prendre en charge un shooting mode. C’est Pierre qui a réalisé les photos. Depuis, ils ont créé ensemble un blog lifestyle, faisant partager leurs coups de cœur musicaux, graphiques et artistiques. En ligne depuis février, New Nation Folks – un nom trouvé selon la méthode de l’écriture intuitive – reflète la personnalité de chacun de ses membres fondateurs. Rock’n’rollattitude pour la jeune Jemme fan de David Bowie (son poisson rouge porte son nom !) et classicisme pour le grand brun joueur de violoncelle et Jervent lecteur de Dostoïevski (son chat s’appelle Fiodor !). Leur plateforme est née de l’envie de promouvoir des artistes de différentes disciplines, d’abord locaux. Très vite s’est imposée l’idée d’élargir leur horizon en mettant en avant destalents nationaux.
