SORTIR URBAN GOING OUT 142 URBAN Par Alexandre Benoist -/Twins Sylvain and Christian Ferrandini have long been well-known on the nightlife scene (their Roxburry and Farfalla are still talked about) and now they've stepped back into the limelight, not in Cannes this time but in Mandelieu-la-Napoule as they decided to leave the frenzied Croisette in favour of Port de la Rague, a Zen retreat surrounded by sea and hills. First let's salute the work of interior architect Samy Chams, who has created a gentle, soothing contemporary ambience with a beachside feel accentuated by a few references to sailing, part cabin of boards and driftwood, part sailboat with sea charts hanging by ropes from the ceiling, lantern, Scott light, engine-room telegraph for orders, pulleys etc. All in all the place has the kind of feel that makes you want to head for the open sea. Surr ounding this cube with big pictur e windows there's a terrace, a solarium, an outdoor bar, a corner of greenery with welcoming lounging bed plus access to the sea. The menu includes stupendous salads, pan-fried king prawns, r ocket with mango and pistachio pistou, prawns with a creamy cuttlefish-ink risotto. So... ready to board ?
