La parcelle forme la limite Est de la place Wilson, à l’angle de la rue Hôtel de Poste et de la rue Foncet. Elle est occupée par la Poste Wilson. Cet ancien bâtiment de service public était en grande partie désaffecté du fait de la suppression de la fonction téléphone et télégraphe, et de la réduction des activités du service postal. Michel Benaïm et Sophie Nivaggioni ont restructuré et rénové les volumes intérieurs, transformés en locaux professionnels qui répondent aux critères de confort, d’accessibilité, de sécurité et d’écologie contemporains. La partie visible du projet réside dans sa surélévation. Le parti architectural retenu a été d’instaurer un dialogue entre deux architectures qui reflètent deux époques, deux histoires et des techniques différentes. Le verre et l’acier répondent à la pierre et aux ornements. La reprise des rythmes réguliers de la façade historique et la courbe de la verrière qui couronne cette façade assurent l’harmonie de cette rencontre. Les appartements-villa en duplex, ainsi abrités, bénéficient de jardins d’hiver et de terrasses précieux en centre urbain. Rehabilitation and two-storey elevation On the corner of Rue de l'Hôtel des Postes and Rue Foncet on the east side of Place Wilson, in an area of homogenous historical architecture, this old building housing the Wilson Post Office was mostly unused after the telephone and telegraph services were withdrawn and postal services cut back. The outwardly visible part of their work is the twostorey elevation, for which they chose to forge a link between two architectural styles representing two eras, two stories and contrasting techniques  : glass and steel as against stone and ornamentation. Repetition of the architectural rhythm of the original façades along with the curved glass above ensure harmony between the two. The roof-top duplex villa-apartments benefit from conservatories and terraces, precious assets in the city centre.
